At
Hale Allen Jones we have over 35 years of in depth experience in civil engineering
design. We have worked on numerous projects requiring the installation of new
foul and surface water drainage networks, rainwater harvesting systems, soakaways,
roads and bridges. We have the capability to design and detail any drainage
system required for your project, from a new gully in a driveway to a complex
network of drainage fields and hard surfacing layouts for a large commercial
or residential development.
We also have experience in other areas of civil engineering such as infrastructure
planning and design, retaining wall structures and external landscaping.
ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCE
Our
relationship with individual clients encountering problems with domestic properties
is something we have developed over many years. By meeting with people
in person and discussing the problem together, it’s easy to come to a
conclusion about what the problem may be, and what needs to be done to rectify
it. Sometimes leaking drains can cause major problems with foundations of surrounding
buildings, for more information see our building surveys page.
We
have also got great experience in working with major contractors and international
clients to provide solid civil engineering solutions on a much larger scale.
Development of these projects can work in tandem with any structural design the
project may require, meaning both engineering practices can progress simultaneously
from our offices, proving a good advantage for overall management and organisation
of the project.
We are capable of incorporating any drainage system to suit the requirements
of any particular site, providing a fully detailed design with accompanying
technical drawings and manhole schedules where applicable.
PROVISIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Today,
environmental issues are a key concern in the construction industry, and many
Architects and Developers are exploring the benefits of rainwater harvesting
and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS).
SUDS can attenuate flows thereby reducing the risk of flooding and also provide
time for the natural processes of sedimentation, filtration and biodegradation
to occur. This reduces the pollutant load in the surface water runoff. Although
SUDS are drainage devices that rely on natural processes, they must be designed,
built and maintained correctly. Our engineers are experienced in providing
the most economic and environmentally friendly solution.
